Our mission is to foster musical growth in the piano students of the Ottawa area. By performing in an encouraging and supporting environment, students can develop confidence in their playing. Students receive valuable feedback from a knowledgeable panel of adjudicators. The Ottawa Piano Festival hires renowned adjudicators for the higher grades, while experienced piano teachers from our Ottawa piano community adjudicate the lower grades’ students.
The Ottawa Piano Festival is unique in that it is run by qualified, experienced and enthusiastic piano teachers from the Ottawa area, for the benefit of our local piano students.
The Festival was founded by the local piano teachers Catherine Donkin, Alexandra Golod and Katarina Jovic in 2018. In 2021 Gabriela Sztein joined the Ottawa Piano Festival’s board.
